Flash combustion synthesis method, also called vertical continuous combustion synthesis method, is a new process developed in the field of metal nitriding in recent years. The ferrosilicon nitride synthesized by it does not contain free silicon and is suitable for large quantities. With continuous production, the production cost is greatly reduced compared to other production methods, which is only equivalent to one-tenth or one-third of other production methods.

The flash combustion synthesis method of ferrosilicon nitride is to continuously add ferrosilicon alloy raw materials with a particle size of 74 microns from the top of the flash furnace into a nitrogen furnace at 1400-1600 degrees Celsius. The 75 ferrosilicon alloy flashes while falling in the high-temperature nitrogen. It burns quickly, and the generated ferrosilicon nitride falls into the product pool due to gravity.
